Artemis Consulting seeking Director of Business Development

“Artemis Consulting is seeking an entrepreneurial Director of Business Development to proactively identify and engage with new prospects across federal agencies, focusing in the areas of digital transformation, cloud adoption and enterprise application development.”

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key target agencies and opportunities and develop a pipeline of opportunities that demonstrates continuous progress toward achieving company growth targets
  • Work with Corporate Leadership in developing a solid growth strategy
  • Assist the company in executing near term and long-term growth strategy
  • Cultivate and grow client relationships with agency personnel and key influencers that result in net new business
  • Develop a strong understanding of client requirements and our development capabilities so as to help accurately and effectively market our capabilities to customers.
  • Conduct opportunity and information searches using tools such as SAM.gov, GovWin, Fed Connect, Customer Forecasts and internal databases.
  • Display a high level of verbal and written communication skills to present, inform and persuade customers and partners of the company
  • Support management team as required and assist as necessary in improving business development, capture, strategic planning and proposals within the organization.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years’ experience supporting Federal business development and/or government acquisition efforts
  • Experience serving as Business Development Lead in with a small federal contractor
  • Demonstrated experience researching opportunities and building a pipeline
  • Demonstrated experience fostering relationships to create strategic and opportunity-specific partnerships with federal contractor firms
  • Demonstrated experience identifying, conducting outreach to, and building relationships with client acquisition and program staff to garner information about opportunities and market company
  • Demonstrated experience building partner teams for agency-specific and GWACs
  • Experience working with the CIO and IT organizations and or acquisitions divisions within the above-mentioned organizations
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) – preferably in technical field (STEM)
  • Agency experience with two or more agencies including GSA, Departments of Homeland Security, Commerce, Interior, Treasury, and USDA
