“DHS is recruiting for the Associate Director of Vulnerability Management in the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), Cybersecurity Division (CSD).”
Responsibilities:
- Lead subordinate managers, their programs, and technical teams in understanding cyber vulnerabilities and weaknesses and devising strategies to reduce them
- Oversee CISA’s vulnerability response activities and supporting incident response efforts as needed
- Manage subordinate operational Vulnerability Management supervisors and staff and support the development of strategic inter and intra relationships to advance CISA vulnerability management capabilities
- Formulate Vulnerability Management programs, priorities, and policies supporting CISA and CSD objectives
- Provide the foundation and framework(s) for a global ecosystem of vulnerability research, analysis, and responsible disclosure by identifying and classifying new vulnerabilities; assessing the risk of new vulnerabilities; and leading coordination vulnerability disclosures between security researchers and vendors
- Build internal capability and National capacity by maintaining and evolving CISA’s cyber assessment methodologies and ensuring repeatable processes, procedures and standards
- Oversee third-party teams in developing and enhancing assessment methodologies, sharing tools with the community, and documenting and formalizing Vulnerability Management services
- Collect requisite data to effectively respond to a variety of inquiries related to cyber ecosystem capabilities, controls, networks, operational maturity, and systems
