Responsibilities:
- Oversees the Security Technology Office and the Cell Phone Forensics Laboratory.
- Manages and/or assists in the development and review of policy, audit guidelines, security and cell phone/drone forensics related equipment, facility design, security standards, security equipment testing and a wide range of similar security and correctional technology concerns.
- Serves on all task forces, work groups or committees that address security and forensics related issues on a BOP-wide basis.
- Assures proper procedures are in effect for the acquisition, operation and use of new security and cell phone/drone forensics technology security equipment and services.
- Responsible for assuring compliance with all applicable BOP, Department of Justice (DOJ) and other applicable polices and regulations relative to security equipment and services.
- Responsible for branch’s compliance with all oversight requirements including coordinating the development of internal controls, the conduct of internal control reviews, reporting the results, developing and publishing audit guidelines.
