“Weather can be unpredictable. However, when it comes to contracting opportunities, the forecast is always certain! Public Law (PL) 100-656, the Business Opportunity Development Reform Act of 1988, requires executive agencies to provide a forecast of expected contract opportunities, including contracting opportunities for small businesses. The Forecast of Contracting Opportunities is a primary means for communicating contracting needs to the vendor community. It’s critical to enhance competition and small businesses should take advantage of this valuable resource.
GSA’s Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization knows that finding contracting opportunities is sometimes the biggest challenge. That’s why we developed the Forecast of Contracting Opportunities tool, a nationwide dashboard of anticipated federal contracting opportunities. Small businesses can find and learn about potential contracting opportunities early in the acquisition process, enabling them to prepare market strategies in advance.
