HUD is seeking a contractor to provide performance evaluations, updates, and re-estimation of the confidential scorecard algorithms using FHA data and performance experience from loans insured from 1997 through current day with associated credit histories. This data has been procured through other contracts and will be provided to the contractor which they will utilize to provide HUD a final report analyzing scorecard performance. The work performed under this contract will help predict which loans are likely to default, borrower credit issues, as well as inform fair lending impacts.
The TOTAL (Technology Open to Approved Lenders) Mortgage Scorecard, herein after referred to as TOTAL scorecard, is a statistically derived decision engine maintained by HUD that works in conjunction with outside Automated Underwriting Systems (AUS) platforms to identify FHA loan applications that in addition to the AUS review must pass a manual borrower credit underwriting review prior to acceptance for FHA insurance.
