Responsibilities:
The Supervisory IT Specialist serves as Branch Chief of the Research Directorate Systems Branch in the Division of Information Systems. Responsibilities for this position include:
- Planning, assigning, supervising, and reviewing the work of staff;
- Sets general priorities and goals for employees establishing deadlines and ensures timely completion of work assignments;
- Assigns projects according to complexity of the work and capabilities of employees;
- Plans for the effective utilization of resources;
- Provides technical advice to staff in NSF offices in order for them to realize the full potential of the NSF applications;
- Evaluates and recommends to the Division Director and senior staff proposed solutions to information processing requirements; and
- Performs other administrative and technical duties in support of the functions and responsibilities of the Division Director.
