FREDERICK, Md. (March 20, 2023) — Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. (Edgewater) proudly announces that Jake Kennedy joins the company as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Kennedy will oversee the finance and accounting departments as Edgewater expands.
“With more than 35 years of finance experience, and over 30 of those years operating in the federal contracting space, Jake brings a wealth of knowledge to Edgewater’s growing team,” said Dave Yockman, Edgewater’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). “We’re thrilled to have him on board, and excited to see how he leads the team to meet the growing needs of the company and our customers.”
Kennedy comes to Edgewater from Amentum, where he served as the company’s CFO. In that role, he was responsible for managing all the financial activities of the business, including supporting the spin-off of the AECOM Management Services Division after the division’s sale to two private equity firms. Prior to serving as Amentum’s CFO, Kennedy held a variety of financial roles while with Amentum’s legacy companies, including the corporate controller position of EG&G Technical Services and the Divisional Senior VP of Finance for URS and AECOM Management Services. Prior to joining Amentum and its legacy Companies, Kennedy worked for PRC, a division of Litton and Northrop Grumman, in a variety of accounting and finance roles. He began his career with E&Y’s assurance practice.
Kennedy has a BS in accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Maryland. He is a CFA charter holder and CPA. In 2021, Kennedy was awarded CFO of the Year by WashingtonExec.
