“This position is located at Departmental Offices, Office of the Secretary. As a Supervisory IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN) (Deputy Director, Response and Recovery), you will be responsible for supervising, managing, and directing the staff of Response and Recovery Directorate (R&R).”
- Lead and provide expert review and guidance to staff in the development of highly sophisticated and in-depth market, sector, and strategic analyses of incidents and threats of concern to the Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary for DF, Assistant Secretary for FI, and Deputy Assistant Secretary for OCCIP.
- Serve as the principal incident and threat advisor for the Director of Cyber Policy, Preparedness, and Response, and represent Treasury on one or more task forces, working groups, or committees with regular or temporary assignments in connection with critical infrastructure protection-related policy issues, many of a highly complex technical nature related to federal approaches for addressing the threats to the nation’s critical infrastructure, including incident response and recovery, and cybersecurity and threat information-sharing.
- Lead and direct staff in engagements with interdepartmental and interagency task forces concerning all-hazards incident and threat information sharing issues, focusing on equities of Treasury and the financial services sector, requiring in-depth knowledge and wide-ranging senior policy-level contacts to do so. Such task forces generate budgetary and legal information that is used to resolve critical issues that arise in the course of formulating Treasury’s positions and priorities.
