Michael Buser, armed with a robust engineering background, has taken on a new role as Acting Director, Division of Agricultural Systems at The US Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA).
In this new role, Michael provides direction and perspective for research, education, and extension programs of national and/or international scope and impact in agricultural systems. In addition, he initiates and facilitates networks, liaisons, and collaborations among partners and stakeholders both within and external to NIFA.
Prior roles include:
- National Program Leader for Engineering – USDA ARS
- Tenured Full Professor of Air Quality, Bioenergy and Logistics Engineer – Oklahoma State University
- Consultant (Agriculture) – Independent Consulting
